I never had any luck in finding jobs in my life so it feels like I'm going through a trial right now.

If anyone of you have job lobang pls pls pls pls pls pls pls pls pls message me!!!

Thanks!

On a nicer note. Caught up with the polymates on Labour day to watch Ironman. Average movie I would say.

Watched Harold and kumar with my cousins a week back. It's a much better movie I would say, probably the best. Too bad ying and kenneth got exams hohoho.

Nim's island was much more boring than I expected. So much for a stellar cast.

KTV with the army mates a few days back was enjoyable. Alot of 'classic' songs like Twinkle twinkle little stars were sung and I had a great time. The price is great too. Just 12 bucks.

After not serving for 2 weeks in a row, I'm finally free to serve again!!, wonder if I will get rusty on the keyboard now.

Oh well, now that I'm not going to study at lasalle anymore, might as well concentrate on my classical music.

First song to master now is Traumerei by Chopin!

If it's good, I might consider uploading to youtube so stay tuned!

Update Again!

I apologize my lack of creativity when it comes to naming my post title.
I didn't know that I have neglected this blog for awhile, but at least I'm feeding it some new material now.

I watched finished Galileo and now I'm going overseas to the western entertainment circle. Mainly watching shows like American idol, America's Next Top Model and Project Runway.

These shows are the best I tell you, each appealing to different industries as I have just realized, and I think my favourite show would be Project Runway.

The amount of talent featured on the show is astoundingly overflowing. The designs are so FIERCE, too bad they are mostly womens wear rather than for men.

Below I attached a picture of some of the hottest designs ever.

It makes me wanna just take my sketchbook out and start drawing..haha, but probably the only thing that I can come up with is probably a copy of my secondary school uniform so I just let these designers do what they do best lol.

American Idol is also very good. I particularly like David Archuleta. His rendition of Imagine is the most moving version I've ever heard. And his song choice totally brought me back to the classics period with songs from Beatles, Dolly Parton etc etc.

I hope they will do a Carpenters week. It's going to be a blast I bet with hits like close to you a sure choice for some singers.

Oh yah, just to update on my lasalle practice. I have already decided on the songs that I'm going to play. *DRUM ROLLL****

1. HERO by Mariah Carey
2. Still undecided. I need a fast song. Or a classical Song. Used to be Can you feel the love tonight by Elton John but doing 2 ballads is not really wise.

Memorised the scores for Mariah Carey already and that means I'm 50% done! Just need to brush up on my techniques and fingering to ace it...

My ORD mood is really in full blast now, starting to plan for what I'm going to do when I ORD, and one of the things is to be a piano teacher.

Just signed up at Katong Mall. The school is Award Music School and I hope to get my first student soon!

Gonna start planning to meet up with peeps whom I can't meet up for like a googazillion years to quote Ben Stiller but that should be a worry for another time.

Oh yah, got hold of many great albums coming out on the month of April. Some are anticipated hits like Hard Candy from Madonnna and the rest are like sizzle fizzle haha.

I'm expecting Ashlee's 3rd release to be damn good.

BTW, you are listening to Let It Be by Brooke White.

UPdate

Hi everyone, or who ever got a spiritual encounter with God telling you to visit my blog, I've updated!!!

Well, did not update properly the previous time due to some bad news I've received which totally destroyed my ORD plans grrr, but oh well, things are more or less settled already.

There's something that is subtly bothering me for a while now, and that's my Lasalle audition. The reason is I can't play my classical piano pieces now because I thought that I just had to display that I had the ability to create nice music from the piano, and not to produce potential Ju-On soundtracks during the audition, so whatever genre is permitted.

BUT, I learnt that if I want to get into Jazz, I must play Jazz. Classical for Classical and Pop for Pop. Well, now that Jazz is totally out of the question and classical is not really the choice for me since I'm already pursuing one at ABRSM, I want to get into pop. So now the question is..........

WHAT SONG SHOULD I PLAY? CAN ANYONE RECOMMEND ME!!!!!!!

Any song is fine just as long as it's not cheesy.

And I only have like 1 week to find a song and master it to perfection T___T

On the sideline, due to the sudden influx of off that I've been clearing, I finally found time to watch GALILEO!!

If you're a science freak who breathes science, then this show is for you because it's totally educational and I really learned alot of fun stuff in this show, like how to make letters float on water lol.

Anyway, this show is about a rookie detective played by Shibasaki kou, who acted in battle royale and also just recently released an album, solving mystery cases that can't be explained by normal means, cause all the murders are not like your average maid butchering the poor dead chicken into pieces, but rather things like igniting fire on someone's head without contact, or using ultrasonic waves to cause a heart attack in someone's body. Cool huh?

And the person helping her is none other than weird scientist Galileo played by Fukuyama Masaharu, recently voted as one of the top boyfriends that Japanese women wants to have! haha, though I don't find him anyway more pretty then the JE boys.

So, it's a cool show and everyone should watch it, or rather, alvin would definitely love it I guess.

Shall not blog about the outings this week as I'm quite engrossed in playing my psp for the moment lol.

Sorry....I don't have the mood to blog right now...

GOMEN NASAI.

Perspective

Ahh, sorry if I've not been updating for a while.

Been quite caught up doing the designs for a project which I'm not at liberty to disclose.

At the same time been busy catching up on my Jdrama, the most recent one being Honey x Clover, currently at episode 9, 2 more episodes to go before the final episode.

Pace has been slow for the storyline na...I wonder what's really going to happen at the end.

Lots of unrequited love and love pentagons in the show, really makes me feel sad for the protagonist.

While watching the drama, I gained a lot of perspective on various issues.

I remember a character in the show said something like, people who love their job is less, and people who does what they really want is even lesser.

It's like a revelation to me regarding my career choice, I gained insight on this.

Looks like Singapore ain't so boring after all.

Found a new place to shop for clothes at Haji Lane. A nostalgic place that boasts an eclectic collection of indie threads for the fashion-savvy tucked quietly among the busy arab pubs.

Finally managed to meet up and catch up with darren, jon and the rest for a scrumptious time of banli indulgence sat night.

The band had also finally gathered together for a discussion on the direction that we should go. Issues at hand had also been brought to the table and dealt with.

Hopefully we are going to reach a new area of breakthrough and I can't wait for it.

And the next time I blog about the band, there will be an official name for it instead of just addressing the band as the band lol.

Alright, that's all for this week.

Random foods that invaded my stomach for the past few days.

Matta!

Hi minna!

Time for an update.

Suffering from withdrawal symptons due to Hana Kimi Ikemen Paradise nah....
almost spilled 30 bucks to get the DVD version at Pohkim...but thankfully I managed
to get the HD quality version. That saved me the money.

Also, I had a nice time with my polymates at DTE although the weather was bad...took lots of photos too but I don't have them.

Lots of changes for the cg too, charmaine's not going to be the cgl anymore, and some of the working peeps are transferring to adult cgs. Wish them all the best nyah~

Thanks to IRC, I was able to get the HD quality of Honey to Clover too, one of the newer dramas airing this year. It's quite nice, a very different yet much more realistic high school life drama compared to hana kimi.

Had a fulfilling dinner! There's char siew and roast duck...

(PS: If you noticed, I'm trying to post my posts in J-web style. Unfortunately, only people in Japan can access it through their cell phones and there's no website for it.)

That's it for today.

Matta.

...

Time for an update.

Been watching Hana Kimi Ikemen paradise on Crunchyroll and I'm totally hooked on to it. I've finished watching it so I'm not suffering from wirthdrawl symptoms. Oh, and btw, it's the Japanese version, and it's way better than the taiwan version a million times. The actors/actresses looks and acting bears much more resemblance to the manga and the music too is very touching. The final farewell really makes you want to cry.

The person who acts as Nakatsu, Ikuta Toma, really is a great actor and I'm going to hunt down his next show which is Honey and Clover, another manga adaptation but a more sadder love story. Again, his character is going to suffer from unrequited love just like Nakatsu in Hana Kimi, but that's not the main point lol.

Once again, watching japanese dramas really makes me want to live in Japan because of the drama's influence. But I figure that it's a drama, the fun stuff in these dramas is not a direct reflection of the life in Japan, as in the people don't treat each other as nice as in the drama, or always say encouraging and nice things to each other, or having all those comedic moments, and definitely no background music to bring out the mood in real life, so I always use this to jolt me back to reality, but I still want to work hard to get a music career in Japan!

Ok...enough of this, time to move on.

Went to mosiac last friday to experience the music scene. Turned out that there's only two places where there's free shows, the rest requires you to pay admission fee to enter the concert hall. But it's good, didn't really like the rock on the outdoor stage, but the acoustic, piano and bossa nova artistes in the indoor concourse really sounded good.

Also been to destiny KTV one of these days with jy,colin, keifer and bala. At first I wasn't really confident abt the KTV cause there's bar girls that you can request for entertainment but they only come in around 6. But other than that, 4 hours of singing from 2-6 only cost you 5 dollars, and the room is much more spacious than kbox and partyworld, and there's 3 tvs! isn't that cool or what. It's the new cheapest place to K for uber cheap and uber good atmosphere. And the place don't look shady at all FYI.

Jamming was good too. Quite a lot of the peeps couldn't turn up for the session but I felt that I played my best then. At the end, everyone was dying from laughter due to the transposing competition which I started from playing the keyboard. Benedict's attempt to sing was hilarious. YH suggested a showdown between him and gordon. Should be another classic episode of laughter then.

Went to Haji Lane the nxt day with dan, ch to shop for clothes. Looks like everyone's bored of their wardrobe already. Haha, although I haven't. At first I didn't have much confidence that there would be much to see there but I was proven wrong thankfully. I didn't know there are boutiques located in those ulu lanes and the clothes there are really fabulous. They are mostly local designer works so it's not mass produced stuff like Topman. Got tempted to get a grey jeans there. Went to meet sean for dinner later, but before that Bugis street yielded my White slim fit jeans, and although I know the quality is definitely not good, but I don't really care cause I'm leaning towards the grey jeans I saw now, and Pedro has the kind of shoes I'm looking for! Last stop was Ben and Jerry where we shared a merlionster.

Hooters was on the next day at Clarke Quay. It was my first time there and I don't really like the atmosphere and the inefficiency of their services. First, they forgot some of our orders, and secondly they over-ordered our orders which ended up us paying for more than what we intended to pay. Tsk tsk tsk. Imagine 7 people being forced to finish 30 chicken wings O_o.

Ahh! Finally it's today! Was supposed to report at Raffles hotel at 8am and guess what, my alarm clock's battery died and I woke up at 7.45 T_T. It's been a long time that I did such a stunt and I rushed like the God of Fortune only had 5 seconds outside my house to bless me and by the grace of God managed to flag down a cab, only to realise that I had only 8 dollars in my wallet T_T. BUT, to cut the long story short, I reached on time and what pisses me off is that there are people who are very late, and nothing happens to them. If I know that I should have taken my own sweet time and took a train instead. Oh, and my cab fare is 7 bucks LOL.

It was raining heavily too and due to the lateness, the NE trip started much later. It was the longest NE trip I had and I shall not elaborate on it, wasn't quite pleased with it. Went to eat at New York New York with jy,yq,colin, benson, ziyi. Bobo and samuel joined us later. Went to play pool and I did a miraculous stunt. I jumped the white ball over the yellow ball and the white ball dived straight into the pocket, everyone was laughing like crazy, felt so embarrased. Went to swensons for ice cream and gossiped a lot. So sinful lol.

All right, that's all for now. Sorry for such a wordy post. Tired and lazy to edit and upload pictures. Might post the pics another time. Jya ne.

Choices

I'm currently at the crossroad at my life haha. Kinda weird to be thinking about all this but my mind is cluttered up with alot of choices that I have to make.

LASALLE VS SIM
This is a tough one because it will determine what kind of life will I be living for the next 2-3 years. If there's a definite career in music that I can develop in Singapore then I will definitely go for Lasalle, because it's where my passion lies. I love music and I definitely want to have a career out of it, but what's keeping me from applying is the uncertainty of being able to have a successful stable career to support myself and my parents. And I'm not sure if I have to time to practise 2 Grade 8 pieces to go for the audition cause my off and leave are still not confirmed.

SIM on the other hand, hai...I want to pursue Banking and Finance but it's just purely the fact that I have a higher chance of getting a stable job with good salary, but I don't think I can excel in it because I totally hate what I saw on the module page, I cringe at the sight at words like econometrics and investment chart blahblahblah, it's just not what I'm called to do.

So the battle is Passion Vs Prospects....haha, so tough, but thanks to Michelle for giving me advice to study what I have a passion for instead of what I'm not interested in and suffering in that for the rest of my life, being unable to back out, as well as many other peeps on msn who gave me their advice..THANKS ALL.

The second decision is not so serious....I'm been thinking about getting a white jeans because I've recieved comments from he who must not be named that I'm not considered having a makeover unless I stop wearing jeans haha. But it's true...the jeans I bought from Taiwan is to replace the old unwanted jeans I painfully stuck my legs into the past few years..so now I need to stop wearing jeans and wear other kinds of bottoms. However, the problem is that after scouring the streets of Singapore for countless hours, the only one I'm interested in the white cotton jeans from GUESS, and GUESS the price...it's $189 bucks.

Been to Gap, Armani exchange, Topshop, Gant, River Island etc...and all either cheaper but cutting and quality not that good, or better but more expensive...tough choice, but personally it's a battle between Topshop and Guess...argh, or maybe when i go HK then I buy....but I can't wait...

Can't wait........Can't wait..........Can't WAIT.

JPOP FEVER

Been looking out for nice Jpop that has a very nice RNB feel to it and good old Namie Amuro never fails to amaze me. If you are a Jpop junkie like me, you will realise she has a new single coming out 1 week from now called '60s 70s 80s'.

Yeap, I know, unique and maybe weird title, but it's VERY NICE. As the title suggests, there's 3 tracks with their own PVs, and each song is a representation of those music eras. Actually the songs are not original, they are covers of the very same some in those period sung by the original artistes, but who cares, Namie sure knows how to dance. Haha.

And if you are wondering why I blog today when usually I'm in camp, that's because I'm being tasked to do a design with Photoshop at home T_T.

Richard introduced to me this cool program called VOCALOID last week. It's really cool because it is a program where you can create a virtual singer's voice, like I make create a sentence sung by the 'singer' from the program and it will sound totally natural, BTW, the voice samples are from a seiyuu whose name I do not know and the character she represents is Miku Hatsune. Going to explore it when I have the time and create an anime song of my own creation!

Hope I can go for the Kbox session this friday nite with some of the people as I had not gone there for like 3 weeks? BUT, I might have to stay back on sat to help out with SOC, The sat singing session with my army friends' latest pub hangout which apparently costs only 7 bucks for 4 hrs is still not confirmed lol, if it's confirmed than I'm going to have a sore throat singing 2 days in a row. AND, I heard they allow you to call girls into the room *er hem er hem*

Fashion

This week passed by so easily like a breeze. Maybe cause it's the first week of a brand new phase, which is that my understudy have arrived! This means I can officially handover all the stuff I've been doing for the past 1 year plus and wash my hands off everything and enjoy my ORD haha!

I'm sure everyone in Singapore knows about the JI terrorist who fled from a toilet lol. It's funny how he managed to do it, my guess is that he escaped through the toilet window which probably is linked to some jungle that have no guards whatsoever patrolling the area. But I'm sure he'll probably have a hard time just trying to survive in Singapore lol, imagine him totally disguised, trying to squeeze into a train at city hall bound for woodlands, and you have like maids who sworn eternal sisterhood who will evaporate if they let go of each other's hands blocking him from entering the train, or trying to rush to whichever station he's heading and being unable to enter the train cause everyone's feet is planted to the ground at the entrance, leaving a total void at the center of the train like there's a black hole in the middle of the cabin.

On the friday I booked out, went to jam at some lousy studio with the new band, total 7 people squeezed into a small studio with super poor sound equipment. Seriously, the sound that came out of the box they call the amplifier sounds like Sadako having trouble recording her cursed videotape. I will never go back there again. Anyway the songs jammed was:

1. Mary Jane - The Click Five
2. Running Away - Midnight Hour
3. Tongue Tied - Faber Drive

Anyway, I went to understudy for the second time as usual as the keyboardist on the Saturday Children's Church service and I was utterly surprised because there's no keyboardist and I was requested to play! And I only came for the second time, my first being the previous week. No experience, No confidence, No preparation, but I managed to pull through thanks to God and I received good comments over my playing phew.

FIR came to service this weekend too! I find it amazing how such busy artistes actually manages to make time to come and perform. Too bad I did not get to take a picture with them cause they have to shuttle among Expo and Jurong West to perform as well. But I managed to take pics of them performing in the service so enjoy!

My fashion guilt is growing and growing like an indestructible pimple which coincidentally is populating my face like the growth rate of China's economy which led me to buy the following magazine.

Yes, it costs me $6.80 but I feel that it's damn worth it, cause you get to have the scoop on the fashion world downsized to just a magazine. Anyway, below are pictures of stuff that I wanna get if I have to money.

Very nice right? but each piece of garment cause me like a part of my body so yeah, just have to wonder when the money will appear on my bed.

Been listening to alot of Jpop nowadays, guess I'm shuttling inbetween my English songs and Japanese songs and I'm surprised there's so much good jpop songs out there. My playlist currently consists of The Brilliant Green, Ami Suzuki, NEWS, Kat-TUN, Arashi, YUI, Bennie K, Namie Amuro, The Asian Kung-fu Generation, Aqua timez, An Cafe, Chemistry and lots more...

Drop me a msg if you want their latest songs!

Ahh, need to plan activities over the nxt few weeks...let's see...

Mahjong session with polymates, movies with cousins? banli with TRP.....Jamming with PW Band....KTV with army friends......All this clashes with serving!!! Not in a gambling sort of way, just find that it's very interesting to play, and the feeling of winning the game feels very shiok. Just played mahjong not long ago and also yesterday, and my hand is still itchy!

It's still quite confusing to me, cause there's like so many things you have to remember and so many rules you have to implement base on the wind direction etc, but that's what makes the game fun and not monotonous like black jack.

It's also a breakthrough for me cause the previous times I tried to play mahjong (when I'm still a newbie) I never won a single game, cause I don't know how to play lol, but it's different now, so if any of you are itching to touch the magic tiles, drop me a message!!

I think I'm beginning to sound like a 50 year old tai tai worshipping the mahjong tiles lol, but that's what I think I really am right now, and the funny thing is that my grandmother plays mahjong every sat at my house, to think I missed out on all the fun.

Even vincent and jason is already psychoing me to join their overnight mahjong meeting every saturday liao, the temptation is tooo strong!!! but the place is at fajar and admiralty, I need to travel a pilgrimage's worth of distance to even smell the floor mat of their houses, hai, why like that?

The itch to go lala is also behaving like a rash on me, but I gave my free voucher to Vanessa, who insist on having it lol, on the condition that she can only use on me haha. I need to update myself with chinese songs because I feel like a broken CD player singing the same old songs again and again, damn.

Sijie is also psychoing me to join the second season of Superband. I'm not sure if I want to take part or not because I'm afraid that it will clash with my army commitments, and also we have never jammed chinese songs before so I'm also abit apprehensive about it lol. I might actually go to support though, if I have the time.

Been listening to alot of music from the hip hop genre lately. Latest songs include Low and elevator by Flo Rida, the new soundtrack from Step Up 2 soundtrack (It's damn good by the way), and all the other music from chris brown, ying yang twins etc etc. These songs just makes you want to dance, it's so addictive!

Meaningful

Update update. Our CO is currently an angel why, because he gave us 10am release on friday, which is unheard of even in 10,000bc in my battalion. Went to play dota with the army people at chambers as usual, and got pawned by the new hero INVOKER. It's seriously very gay. I HATE HIM.

Jamming with the band on Monday was great! I enjoyed the session with the peeps, although during the worship section I kinda screw up, but there's always room for improvement, too bad the following monday might not have another jamming, but it's ok, because I got another jamming with another band.........called..........YOUR FATHER FALL DOWN!

Btw the songs jammed are:
1. Everybody Praise
2. Look to you
3. God is real
4. God of my forever
5. Hosanna
6. Take all of me

I don't know if the new band is going to be called that but yeah, that's the name tentatively. It's a totally new band jamming only secular songs, as compared to the praise and worship band above lol. Can't wait, cause this band was a very long thing that did not come to pass since long ago, and can't wait to see the result of it this friday.

And there's another piece of news, I finally stopped procrastinating for the past 11 months and started to take a step into ministry once again, and never did I expect God to place me in the ministry that I cringed my face in fear when I first heard abt serving the Lord and that's CHILDREN's CHURCH!

HOWEVER, I'm serving as a musician, rather a keyboardist and I went for my first understudy session today. It was good, learnt alot of things from the current keyboardist, guess my problem is flowing with the atmosphere, need to buck up on that. Other than that, can't wait to start playing and see myself move up another level.

Went to eat Botak Jones with char and the rest. It's my first time and I am super duper impressed with it. It's like a restaurant in a hawker center setting. The food is good but the service is even better. The staff are very friendly, they basically treat you like their special guests like that. I never been to another place where the staff ask you how's the food is etc etc, they even cover the food for you if you are not around!. The portion of the food is also very big!, even bigger than the usual western stuff u get in food courts, and it's around the same price somemore.

Can't wait to go back there again and I will definitely recommend it to everyone. Btw the branch is at Bedok.

It's time for an update.

Lots of pictures taken last week as well as this week, but I'm only going to post some, or rather, those which I think the quality is can make it one lol.

Last week was cg steamboat at Dan's house. One of the steamboat was not functioning as in the food was dumped into it for very long but the stuff looked like dead corpses in a tsunami. Good thing my steamboat was boiling with life! LOL. I didn't get to eat much though, as I gotta go catch a movie with friends later, but before that, it's PICTURES!!!

Went to catch Sweeney Todd after that with my friends at TM GV.

The movie is a musical, and I felt that it's a unique concept, cause not many movies takes on this challenging concept, and the script itself is already very hard already, so I really salute the cast for putting on this wonderful show. Shall not spoil for those who already watched it, although I myself got spoiled like a spoilt brat (bad pun I know) before watching the show, but it's still good.

Fast forward to this weekend!

Went to visit my polymates house, but because of cg, I could only attend JX and Da jie's hse, I could have gotten alot of ang pows!!! T__T. It's ok, because I finally get to touch mahjong at Da jie house but I didn't win at all T__T.

Before that, JX's house was a breeze to find!, a breakthrough in my direction skills.

Da jie's cat!, called Ah ken. A very ferocious and violent cat. Can even run out of the house one!

On the way home, listening to my fave song at the moment!

Went to service on Sunday, message was good. Had BS as usual then went to PS to find some of the cg members to eat. First time in my life I ate a 5 dollar ban mian, so expensive lor, and the fish texture machiam like Jelly. Yucks.

Caught the below movie after that.

It's an average movie la, rachel bilson is hot, but that's expected, they can't cast Ru Hua to act right? not much action scenes though, it has lots of potential, but it just fizzled.

All right. That's all for now, FINALLY THE LONG AWAITED JAMMING SESSION WITH THE PWBAND IS ON TML!!!!!!!.

Ok, I'm being overly enthu.

Karaoke

Sang Partyworld with some of the TRP peeps. The locally produced Jack Neo CNY Film Ah Long Pte Ltd or the long-awaited Stephen Chow film CJ7 which coincidentally labeled itself as a CNY film? For me, it's CJ7 that appeals to me more than ALPL, and I was right. Caught this two movies in a span of only 3 days and all I can say is that there's a huge contrast between this two CNY movies. Watched APLP with my battalion and CJ7 with ben and the gang.

The tixs

At first I had a huge expectation to laugh throughout the whole show before I stepped into the hall for APLP, and the start looks promising, but once the opening sequence ended, the whole show is just went down a neverending spiral without a chance to redeem itself. The jokes are itself trying to be funny when it's supposed to be funny, the humour is so bad you just have to force yourself to laugh or rather smile in this case just to make ur movie money feel it's well-spent. There's no plot in this movie, and even if there is, it's so lame because of the totally physics defying effects.

Ok, I'll just spoil this part for you, there's this part of the movie that shows Fann Wong's triad gang having a soccer showdown with their rival gang at this deserted backalley whereby the set up and decorations of the goal posts, which for your info is 2 suspended durian baskets decorated with colourful ribbons corresponding to each gang's colour. And instead of playing soccer with the soccerball, they decided to use durian, how creative. And fann wong actually managed to score the first goal by flying up like 2 storeys into the air!?, kicking the ball until it flies around the alley like a deflated balloon on a rampage knocking down everyone in it's path with the impact of a car banging a human, and even manages to cause a crack in the concrete wall before flying into the goal basket.

How on earth are you suppose to laugh at such a lame effect. I don't know if I'm suppose to laugh at the exaggerating effects or something else which I didn't catch. And yea, you can guess that the whole show operates somewhere on this kind of humour.

On the other hand, CJ7 presents a totally different kind of story. It is also another graphics heavy, CGI laden movie but it does a so much better job than ALPL. At least the jokes are still laughable without having to think about it so much, like the scene where the construction worker claims to have seen the UFO flying and even got a picture of it, but the picture of the UFO is exactly the same helmet as what the worker is wearing on his head.

And the best part I feel is that it's also a very touching show, I won't spoil the show but many people cried during that part haha.

Ok, enough about the movie reviews, time to blog about CNY. Spent Chu 1 and Chu 2 having bbq at my aunt's house and I ate a lot, like 4 plates of pure meat each time, guess I'm going to put on a lot of weight for this festive period. Ang baos on the other hand, all I can say is I got more than last year, which is a good thing, but I reckon all that money is going to be spent on clothes anyway, or into my savings for rainy days.

Karaoke session at partyworld with the TRP people tommorow so lookout for another post!

Photos!

Hi whoeverisreadingthisunadvertisedblog, I'm back to blog after a few weeks of hiatus, actually it's more like I got bitten by the lazy bug once again.

Well, just to update what yours truly have been going through this past month, well, actually nothing much LOL, just the usual outings with friends and sucky NS life, what's more to life man?

I realised that I'm beginning to be more and more like a fashion victim, it used to be that whenever I go shopping in town and I happen to come across those high fashion luxury shops like Prada, or Gucci etc, I don't even bother to bat an eyelid and zoom for the more streetwear casual boutiques, but now I'm throwing myself into every luxury brand shop like how geylang chickens flock to bangalas in Geylang.

I'm can't believe it!!, the thought of burning 780 bucks just for a sling bag from Gucci actually managed to penetrate the cheapskate stingy skull of mine whereas in the past I will complain too expensive when a T-shirt shouts 30 bucks at me in Bugis street lol.

Ohmy oh my.....I don't wanna end up as a bankrupt with only Gucci bags or LV wallets collecting dust in the house. BUT, I might seriously save up money to get a Gucci tote when I start teaching piano soon muhaha.

Speaking of piano, Sherlynn just intro-ed this nice song from this band called Midnight Hour which I never heard of them before cause probably they only perform or appear in the midnight hours everyday but that's beside the point. The song is called Running away and it cameod in one of the episodes from Ghost Whisperer and guess why I love that song? Because it has piano in it DUH!

Any song with piano in it will immediately catch my attention and be embedded in it forever like a parasite. Anyway, the main thing is everytime I hear such a wonderful piano melody, I just felt compelled enough to rush to my piano, open the cover and start playing maniacally like how Sweeney Todd slash his victim's throats maniacally.

As such, I think it's a great idea if I can actually come up with the manuscript of that song and record myself playing then upload it online for your listening indulgence. But all is easier said than done, I have no video recording device in my house, only audio, haha, so I got to think of a way.

BTW, I seriously miss jamming with the P&W band and I hope the supposed jamming on monday will be fulfilled or I have to wait till God knows when before I can touch the keyboard once again lol.

Workout!

I'm back for another blogging session, I'm so happy that I did not die during the 5 stay week at Khatib Chalet and I'm so happy that I managed to last the whole week without dying under the sai kang madness.

Morever, I'm dying under the illegal abuse of the gym which is totally my fault haha, cause I thought that since I'm going to be kicked out of Khatib Chalet in a few months time, I might as well use this remaining days of mine to build myself up, I'm turning into a flabby piece of bak kua liao.

As such, yesterday I whacked all the machines like they were my enemies without realising I'm the one who would suffer the day tommorow with sores and pain all over my body as if a bulldozer just ran over me,reverse, and repeat 1000 times.

But it's ok!, I shall continue my exercise regime and in due time I shall embark on a torturous running/jogging routine to build up my lower body, but as of now, I shall focus on the upper body to prevent myself looking like a sad piece of tissue paper who can't even walk straight.

That aside, had a good DOTA session with ziyi, bobo, benson, royden and szetho at CHAMBERS yesterday. Lost 1 win 1, and the lost 1 is really don't know if it's my fault cause my skeleton king swore brotherhood with the tower, only good at killing creeps LOL. But my viper still kicks ass.

I spent sooo much money on DOTA I think I blew a total of 12 dollars on 2 DOTA sessions this week, not forgetting the sinful lavishing of my money on the irresistable canteen food AGHHHH.

Wasted Week!

This week is totally wasted!!!! I often visualise myself standing before multitudes of people performing my self-written songs with the band and hearing screams and shouts of excitement reverberating across the venue.

It's sort of what I wanted to be since I was young, travelling around the world, getting to know their cultures and stuff, yet at the same time touching people with music, be the salt and light of this world. I believe music is a form of healing, and it's a powerful one, because it transcends all language barriers and other forms of distance because everyone loves music, no one can say that he hates music, there's got to be some form of music that he or she likes, be it jazz, new wave, country or even heavy metal.

What makes me feel like I'm stuck in a small box is the fact that Singapore has such a small market for music that despite how hard our country is trying to promote herself as a hub for art, it's really difficult to break out of that shell and mingle among the artistes of the west. Underground unknown bands or singers with no record labels tagged to their neck often have more resounding success than creme de la creme artistes here in Singapore, and those who are successful here are chinese singers. English musicians hardly have the chance to wringle out of the mud.

I personally felt abit wasted that I have a Grade 8 in classical piano yet could not do much, at most I could only be a music teacher, or work in a music company. But what I yearned for is more than just that, I wanted to have my music known throughout the world, not just settling for a small little classroom with young prepubescent kids teaching do re mi for the rest of my life.
I know this post today has kinda an angsty feeling to it but that's how I feel about my future. Seriously I feel that if you want to make it big in the music industry, you got to take your chance and venture overseas, staying here is not going to make any difference.

Happy New Year!!

Hi all, 2007 have just passed us by and we just ushered in 2008 not a long while ago.
As such, I would like to say I have already put all those unhappy things that happened to me into the memory chute and is now waiting for more unhappy, I mean happy things to happen to me in 2008.

I bet this is going to be the best year in my life so far because of one sole reason, and it's not because I'm going to get married or give birth, neither am I going to struck 1 gigatrillion pounds when I play lottery, neither am I eligible to vote for the elections, but because this is the year where I ORD!!!!.

It's finally the year where I will be released from the 'prison' and regain my freedom to do anything I want!!.
